Garth Brooks: Live in Las Vegas
I went to Las Vegas for a weekend trip with my Mother and Sister during the last week of March 2012. We planned the trip around the tickets we bought to see Garth Brooks at the Wynn. Purchasing the performance tickets, flight and room we were eagerly awaiting our trip to our first Garth Brooks experience. If you’ve never seen Garth Brooks live, I highly recommend it!
I started listening to country music late in life. It wasn’t until I was just out of college did I realize how amazing country music was. My mom on the other hand actually went and saw Kenny Rogers and Trisha Yearwood back in the 80′s. She is more of a jazz and oldies listener but she was just as excited as I was to see Garth Brooks perform for the first time.
Garth performs at the Encore Theater in the Wynn. Inside the theater there isn’t a bad seat in the house. We sat on the second level about 4 rows up and had a perfect view. Garth took his 2 hour performance on a completely personal level. He sang clips and full songs of every artist that inspired him over the course of his life and it was a blast hearing songs over the past 4-5 decades. Of course my Mother loved it as well!
His wife, Trisha Yearwood came out for a surprise performance and she lit the audience on fire! Garth ended the night with a few of his personal classics and had everyone up and singing at the end.
Tips If You Decided To See Garth Brooks Live
If you decide to go see Garth Brooks live they are very strict on the no cell phone policy. You can bring cell phones in but you can’t look at one during the performance or they will come to your seat.
The Encore theater allows food and drink from outside the theater in, so I recommend bringing in something but beware, Garth performs for two hours straight so be careful with how much liquids you consume.
Plan your trip around the Garth Brooks show because he only has so many shows each year at the Wynn.
Enjoy the show!
